THE ROLE
As a House of Clean Cleaner, you'll provide professional cleaning services in customers' homes across a range of bookings, including regular, one-off, spring and end-of-lease cleans.
You'll be responsible for delivering a consistently high standard of cleaning while treating every customer's home with care and respect.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Complete residential cleaning services to House of Clean standards
Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
Vacuum, mop, dust and clean surfaces
Complete deeper cleaning tasks where required
Follow House of Clean cleaning checklists and processes
Use cleaning products and equipment safely
Communicate professionally with customers
Look after the homes and belongings you're trusted with
Record completed work through our systems
Work independently while being supported by our operations team

Travel between House of Clean customer properties is reimbursed in accordance with applicable employment arrangements.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
ESSENTIAL
The right to work in Australia
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Reliable and professional approach to work
Ability to work independently
Good attention to detail
A suitable level of physical fitness for residential cleaning duties
Ability to use cleaning equipment safely
A National Police Check issued within the previous 6 months, or willingness to obtain one before commencing employment
Ability to complete House of Clean's onboarding and training requirements
CLEANING EXPERIENCE
Previous professional cleaning, housekeeping or domestic cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
If you're new to professional cleaning but you're reliable, hardworking and have a great eye for detail, we'd still love to hear from you.
TRANSPORT
A reliable method of getting to and between customer properties is required.
Depending on your location and the jobs available, this may include your own vehicle or another reliable form of transport.
If you drive between House of Clean customer properties as part of your work, applicable travel reimbursement will be provided in accordance with your employment arrangements and applicable requirements.
POLICE CHECK
Because our cleaners work independently inside customers' homes, House of Clean requires all cleaners to have a satisfactory National Police Check issued within the previous six months before commencing employment.
If you don't currently have a recent check, that's okay — you can apply and we can discuss the process with you.
Employment will be subject to satisfactory completion of required pre-employment screening.
Important: a police check does not automatically determine whether someone can or cannot be employed. House of Clean will assess any disclosed or reported information fairly and in accordance with applicable law.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
A Working with Children Check is not automatically required for ordinary residential cleaning work.
However, some customer properties or particular assignments may require additional screening. Where a WWCC or other screening requirement applies to a specific role or customer environment, House of Clean will advise you and you may be required to obtain and maintain the relevant clearance.
A WWCC is separate from a police check where child-related work is legally covered by the relevant screening requirements.
EMPLOYMENT
This is a casual employee position with House of Clean.
You will be employed by House of Clean and paid in accordance with your applicable employment arrangements and the relevant industrial instruments, including the Cleaning Services Award where applicable.
Casual employment means hours may vary and are not guaranteed. Suitable work will be offered based on customer demand, your availability, location and operational requirements.
YOUR FIRST FEW WEEKS
We don't expect you to know everything on day one.
1 - ONBOARD
Get set up with House of Clean and complete your required checks and paperwork.
2 - TRAIN
Learn our cleaning standards, processes, products, equipment and customer expectations.
3 - GET OUT THERE
Start taking on suitable cleaning jobs based on your availability and experience.
4 - BUILD YOUR RUN
As you settle in, we'll look to build regular recurring clients around your preferred areas where possible.
